About Us


Daw Nay Yi Aung is the Founder and Principal of Star Hospitality & Business Management Academy which is a leading hospitality school in Myanmar and it mainly provides educational services for both vocational and academic courses with the objectives to be a part of mechanism for development of skilled labor in Myanmar. Star Hospitality & Business Management Academy also provides the services of consulting hotels and restaurants opening set ups and delivering customized training courses for tourism and hospitality service related organizations. The courses available in Star Hospitality & Business Management Academy are accredited by the Ministry of Hotel & Tourism and the National Skill Standard Authority.

Daw Nay Yi Aung previously worked as a sales person at “Charity Shop”, Singapore. She later got some more experiences of working as an assistant chemical engineer at Sinko Chemical Co., Ltd in Singapore. Moreover, Nay also worked for the “Own English Language Training Center” as a Trainer and Assessor for 3 years.After Nay had worked in sales and marketing field for more than 5 years, she established Star Resources as an own business in 2005.

Now, Daw Nay Yi Aung is a current member of Myanmar Tourism HRD Association and as well as an active member of UMFCCI and National Export Strategy. Nay also actively participated Human Capacity Development for TVET personal program as an executive expert in 2016.

With the intention to help our young people in building up their career in Hospitality & Tourism, Star Academy has been founded by a group of hospitality professionals. Based on our Local and International experiences and study, the various courses have been organized and designed to benefit those who are in search of efficient and effective training both in Theory and Practical.

We always find a way to improve and upgrade our courses to meet International standards. Our students have to go through written exam (theory test), practical exam and in addition oral test (interview) to get them ready for their career start. After successfully completing and passing the course we issue the following Certificate and post their results and rating on our web site so employer can view it. Employers are all welcome for inquiry and references concerning our students and courses.
